June 14th 2009 was  Car Free Day in Vancouver. Roads were closed off in 4 locations: Main Street, Commercial Drive, West End, Kitsilano Block Party. Along with Car Free Day the Golden Ears Bridge was opened to pedestrians. On Saturday I was planning to visit Main Street, Commercial Drive and the Golden Ears Bridge on Sunday. Well… I was a little ambitious, cause I only had enough time on Sunday for Car Free Day on Main. I’m not complaining, I had a blast on Main! I couldn’t believe this only happens once a year! This event NEEDS to be at least a monthly thing... 

That’s my dog Yoshi. Last night I finally got the guts to watch Marley & Me. I’ve been holding off on this movie and book for a while, just because of all the comments and reviews I’ve heard. A tear jerker! I grabbed my dog, popped in the dvd and got comfy on the couch. It was great at the beginning of the movie, Yoshi provided some comic relief by lunging at the TV every time Marley came on but towards the end, he realizes that Marley’s not real and laid beside me. That was when I wished Yoshi would still lunge at the tv for some distraction. I... 

Last Monday a classmate of mine started Bachelorette Mondays! the deal is we would get together on Mondays to watch The Bachelorette and pig out to our hearts content. Personally, I was never really into watching The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. UNTIL this season, because The Bachelorette is Jillian Harris and she’s an interior designer. Apparently she went to the same college as my classmates and I and she was in one of my instructor’s classes. Plus, she was SO cute in The Bachelor with her hot dog theory. For the Vancouver locals, she was the designer for Pinky’s... 

If you haven’t heard, Du Jour Boutique & Gallery is THE place to buy….OR borrow that head turning, eye catching, jaw dropping designer dress in Vancouver. It was the classic case of a damsel in distress. While driving under the scorching afternoon sun I over turned and ran right into the curb and BOOM!… My tire blew. Note to readers: Really, I’m a safe driver… really I am…I don’t know why my girlfriends don’t like riding in my car….hum… Anywho~ I blew my tire. Great! It’s scorching hot outside, super busy street at 3:00 in the afternoon and I’m wearing my pretty spaghetti strap sun dress in heels… This is NOT my day to be changing a spare tire! Not impressed… I... 

Common, you have to cut me some slack here. It’s Spring, the sun is finally out and homework is simmering down. Let me enjoy the great outdoors. This is my first personal website, it’s exciting and scary at the same time. My creative ideas are endless, but limited to my newbie skills, so I’m going to take it one step at a time. Today at Trout Lake Community Center Miga, Quatchi and Sumi, the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games Mascots, were there to meet and greet people from the community.
