Last Monday a classmate of mine started Bachelorette Mondays! the deal is we would get together on Mondays to watch The Bachelorette and pig out to our hearts content.
Personally, I was never really into watching The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. UNTIL this season, because The Bachelorette is Jillian Harris and she’s an interior designer. Apparently she went to the same college as my classmates and I and she was in one of my instructor’s classes. Plus, she was SO cute in The Bachelor with her hot dog theory.
For the Vancouver locals, she was the designer for Pinky’s Steak House on West 4th Ave, in Kitsilano. Their steaks are so yummy…(that I will have to tell you about in another post at another time)
I am seriously hooked on this show. The episodes are getting better and better. Today’s episode is probably the best so far! CAUSE IT’S VANCOUVER! Where they have the most AWESOMEST BABES according to www.vancouverisawesome.com Of course, I have to agree, yours truly here is born and raised in the beautiful lower mainland. Vancouver girls are pretty awesome.
As the 4 of us drooled over the boys we liked and glared at the ones we don’t, we loved pointing out all the shots of Vancouver which is our back yard! There were amazing aerial shots of downtown Vancouver, the waterfront areas and our new Vancouver Convention Centre.
I felt that Vancouver is very supportive of this season’s Bachelorette, even the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver hosted tonight’s episode screening in their hotel lounge. I read about it in today’s 24Hrs Newspaper. I’m always sceptical about things, so right when I read it, I picked up the phone and called Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. I spoke to their Public Relations Prepresentative, Brenda M. about this event. It’s true, they supported the Canucks during the playoffs, might as well make an event out of tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette. They even had a special “Final Rose” Cocktail.
In the end, my girlfriends and I opted out to watch at home and order in pizza. Having the girls night in was a little more appealing on a student’s budget.
Plus, I don’t get to see my classmates as much now that school is over. I can’t wait till next week’s episode!
WHISTLER baby!!
I do have to say… it is a little weird watching winter scenes of Vancouver while it’s blazing hot outside. We “try” to forget about winter when summer is so smokin’ gorgeous!

Now you’ve got me watching The Bachelorette. I am so shameful. It’s your fault. >_<
Love ya!
